Hi.. and thank you to all the new subscribers who have just recently joined me. It has been so long since I last looked at this blog, and now I feel I'm ready to get going what my plan! Yay!
So, let me just go over in a bit more detail what it is I'm planning to do.
There are a few areas I'd like to concentrate on first of all, and these will be along the lines of tutorials, DIY kits, and stock. (I'm so excited!)
Here's a brief intro into each element I'll be working on soon.
Resin feels a little daunting when you first start out, so I will be doing tutorials on mixing resin, how to remove bubbles, creating jewellery, coasters.. all kinds of items. Adding colour pigments, etc. I will also share with you how I dry my flowers, and other methods of drying them. My ever popular large wall hangers are also on the list of ''tutorials to do''. So I hope you'll stick around and fall in love with resin like I have.
The kits will possibly consist of all the flowers you need to create one of my designs, also things like toothpicks, wooden sticks, jewellery findings, etc. This is still a work in progress at the moment, I doubt I will be supplying resin in these kits but I'll be looking into it, and all kits will vary. I would absolutely love to create a design, then release the kit for you to recreate that design. How does that sound? (Feedback most welcome!)
So this is where I would like to supply you with the various flowers I use. Some could be packed up into sets to create one of my designs, or as a set of 20 hydrangea flowers for example, set of forget me nots, and various other flowers. Down the line I would also like to stock other resin/jewellery related items, from jewellery findings, tools, bezels... but let's start small shall we?!!
I've made so many good friends since opening an online business. I really don't know what I would do if I didn't have those few close crafty mates being there with support. Having talented ladies (and men) around you to bounce ideas off is an amazing feeling! Sometimes I have ideas pop into my mind for one of my friends and their business... because it's nice to be supported, and it's nice to support them too. So, building a community is a must! I want to show you what it looks like to mess up sometimes, I will share with you the disasters I've had, and hopefully encourage you to share your wins, and your 'what the fuck is that?' moments... because we all have them, and need them, when we're learning to use a runny, sticky, mind of it's own kinda gloopy material!
So if all of this sounds right up your street, then please subscribe by email or click 'follow' on the sidebar. I need your feedback while I navigate through this random blogging adventure (I don't know what I'm doing!)
